Voice Duel official rules

No purchase necessary. A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor

Voice Duel (the "Contest") is sponsored by Rime Labs, Inc. ("Rime"), [SPONSOR MAILING ADDRESS]. Questions about the Contest go to [CONTEST EMAIL].

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, and officers of Rime, and the immediate family and household members of each, are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

3. Contest period

The Contest runs in monthly rounds. Round 1 opens at [TIME] Pacific on [OPEN DATE] and closes at [TIME] Pacific on [CLOSE DATE]. Each monthly round is a separate contest with its own winners and its own standings. Rime may announce later rounds on this page. Rime's computer is the official clock for the Contest.

4. How to enter

Enter by submitting your email address at rime.ai/research/rime-ring. Entry is free. Each week during a round, Rime emails entrants a card listing the voices in that week's ring. To take part in a ring, follow the link in the card and submit your pick before the lock time stated on the card. Picks submitted after the lock time do not count. One entrant per email address and one account per person; entries from multiple accounts, automated means, or on behalf of another person are void.

5. How a ring works

In each ring, five text-to-speech voices are used by an automated agent to place outbound phone calls to businesses. Each call records whether the person answered the agent's question or hung up. A voice's hang-up rate is the share of its connected calls that ended in a hang-up. The voice with the lowest hang-up rate wins the ring. A ring counts only if every voice in it reaches at least 300 connected calls; otherwise the ring is void and any points placed on it are returned.

6. Points and standings

Each entrant receives 100 points for each ring and may place them on one voice or split them across several. All points placed in a ring form that ring's pool. When the ring settles, the pool is divided among the entrants who placed points on the winning voice, in proportion to the points each placed on it. If no entrant picked the winning voice, the pool carries over to the next ring in the same round. An entrant's standing in a round is the total of all points they have been paid out in that round. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed.

7. Winner determination

At the close of each round, the three entrants with the highest point totals win first, second, and third prize in that order. Ties are broken first by the number of rings in which the entrant picked the winning voice, then by a random drawing conducted by Rime. Potential winners are notified by email within five business days of the round's close and must reply within seven days with their full name and mailing address, and, where the prize value requires it, a completed IRS Form W-9. A potential winner who does not reply in time, is found ineligible, or declines the prize forfeits it, and the prize goes to the next-ranked entrant.

8. Prizes

First prize: two tickets to a Golden State Warriors home game during the 2026-27 NBA regular season, game and seats selected by Rime. Approximate retail value (ARV): $[ARV]. Travel, lodging, and all other expenses are the winner's responsibility. Second prize: one $500 Amazon.com gift card. Third prize: one $500 Amazon.com gift card. Total ARV of all prizes in a round: $[TOTAL ARV]. Prizes are awarded as described and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash, except that Rime may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the winner's responsibility. Amazon.com gift cards are subject to the terms at amazon.com/gc-legal.

9. Publicity

By entering, each entrant agrees that Rime may publish their first name and last initial in Contest standings and winner announcements, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

10. Privacy

Rime uses the email address you provide to run the Contest, including sending the weekly card and standings. Rime handles personal information as described in its privacy policy. You can unsubscribe from Contest emails at any time; doing so ends your participation in future rings.

11. General conditions

Rime may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, violates these rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. If the Contest cannot run as planned for any reason outside Rime's reasonable control, Rime may modify, suspend, or end the Contest and award prizes based on standings at that time. By entering, entrants release Rime and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim arising from participation in the Contest or the receipt or use of a prize, to the extent permitted by law. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

12. Winners list

For a list of winners of any completed round, email [CONTEST EMAIL] with the subject line "Rime Ring winners" within 60 days after that round closes.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Amazon.com, Inc., the Golden State Warriors, the National Basketball Association, LinkedIn, or X Corp.
